Who We Are

THA: MI is a regional chapter of The Humanitarian Alliance (THA). We are dedicated to fighting psychological, social and ecological oppression throughout Michigan.

What We Do

Through direct advocacy & protest, awareness-raising, training and the supporting of local allied organizations, THA: MI works towards realizing the humanistic & humanitarian values of empathy, autonomy, inclusion, dignity and security for all.

Open Case Consultation

The Humanitarian Alliance: MI, in conjunction with FairSky Foundation, is pleased to announce an ongoing professional case consultation. It is open to all professionals engaged in individual, couple, family or group therapy, including psychologists, social workers, professional counselors, substance abuse counselors, marriage/family therapists, and nurses. It is a space to openly and safely discuss practice issues, in order to better understand our own experiences and the people we serve.

The case conference is theoretically diverse, but grounded in humanistic and humanitarian values. We are especially interested in providing a space to discuss the impact of the current social and political turmoil, and how it is explicitly and implicitly impacting clients and therapists alike.

When: 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM; Fridays: 9/29, 10/13, 10/27, 11/10, 12/08
